Choose the Class
Karate and COVID-19
Our response to the pandemic is to provide families with a flexible approach to participation in Karate. We understand that some families chose to provide as normal an experience as possible for their children, while others have concerns that are best addressed by a virtual presence.
During the pandemic, we have supplemented our in-person classes with ZOOM video classes and instructional videos of our curriculum elements on our YouTube channel. The OKKA-Mullica Hill Youtube channel is HERE.
The requirements for our continued operation vary based on the State mandated guidelines. Currently (as of January 1, 2021) we are operating on a cohort system that limits physical attendance based on the square footage of our building. Cohorts are based on last name, and are assigned two days a week for training in-person. If you have a recurring conflict with your assigned days of the week and prefer in-person instruction, we can work with you to swap your days.
The option to attend more classes via Zoom is open to all students all of the time.
Please note that face coverings are required for participation in our in-person classes unless you have a State recognized health issue. We have found that most students tolerate exercising in the masks quite well.
